Kitchen

Ararat Farms is seeking a passionate folks to join our growing commercial kitchen.

1) BAKER. 24-32 hours. Pay is 18-25 DOE.

2) PREP AND PRODUCTION COOKS. 24-32 hours. Pay is 17-21 DOE.

We are a scratch kitchen rooted in the farm, producing thoughtfully crafted foods using ingredients grown right here by our team, along with high-quality products sourced from neighboring farms. Our work is driven by seasonality, efficiency, and respect for ingredients.

This is a production-focused kitchen with high standards. We are building a team of people who take pride in their work, move with purpose, and care about the quality of what they produce.

Responsibilities

  • Execute recipes with consistency, accuracy, and efficiency

  • Assist in daily prep, production, and packaging of prepared foods

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

  • Work collaboratively to meet daily and weekly production goals

Qualifications

  • Passion for cooking, baking, and working with real ingredients

  • Strong work ethic and reliability—consistency matters here

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to take direction and contribute to a team-driven culture

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for extended periods (8+ hours)

  • Lifting and carrying 30–50 lbs regularly

  • Repetitive tasks including knife work, mixing, and packaging

  • Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced production kitchen

Farm - Position is filled.

  1. Seasonal Field Crew: Starting in April. 3-5 days a week. Majority of work is in market garden but crossover into perennials and other farm tasks. Ability to lift over 50 lbs comfortably. Experience preferred, pay is DOE, and under $20.
